Our latest travels were to Ames (practically two weekends in a row). The first was for the Iowa/Iowa State game and tailgate. It was awesome to relive my college days with some of my very best friends. I think it's so cool how that rivalry brings everyone back no matter what!
The last trip to Ames was the ISU/Army game. The whole Bleyl family was coming down (sans meghan) so I tailgated with them! It also happend to be my 25th birthday. So I got to ring in a quarter of a century with the whole Bleyl clan...well almost the whole clan.
There is big news under the Thompson roof.... We're moving! Not back to Minnesota (yet) but into a townhouse with more room - 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms to be exact :) It's new construction so we will be the first ones in our townhome. 3830 N Bennington Ave will be our home come January 1, 2010. I know it's far away but we can put a deposit down on a place as early as 90 days and we were in the office on October 1 filling out the application. I'm super excited, can you tell? I even started to unpack, err, I mean, 'declutter'! haha. The money will be tight but we talked seriously about this and it's really something we want to do. We want more room not only for us but when we have guests or people over we'll have more room. Our guests will even have their own bedroom and bathroom (with TWO sinks!) So, to my friends reading that live in Iowa or MN...you are welcome anytime after January 1 :)
