Starting new traditions is a necessity when we live 4 - 6 hours away from all of our family. So, this past weekend we hosted our first Christmas at our home :) Deren's parents came into town since we'll be in Minnesota this year for Christmas. We made Lasagna and breadsticks plus munchies and of course, Christmas cookies. I like to cook as long as I'm in the right mood. Luckily there weren't many kids at work last Friday so I was able to stay home and get everything prepared.
It's hard to believe that the wedding is only five months away. Although SO MUCH is already finished, there is a lot left to accomplish. I can't wait until the big day when everything (and everyone) will come together and celebrate! WOOO!! We start marriage counseling for the wedding the weekend after Christmas, I'm kind of anxious to see how that goes :)
I'm looking forward to our Christmas this weekend and then our trip up to Minnesota for Christmas with the Streich family.
